Well, it's official. Ideology matters.

Time was, senators would avoid directly considering a Supreme Court nominee's politics. Oh, they would consider it...but any opposition would be based on credentials, experience and other non-political factors. Well, no more.

Good. If that is the way they want to play it, then Conservative senators should be free to block the nomination of any judicial nominee who does not support overturning Roe v. Wade.
