Earle goes OOPS! [link]

Here is the story, as reported by the Washington Post (and presented in as favorable a light as possible for Ronnie Earle and the Democrats):

This is just plain embarrassing. Travis County Texas Prosecutor Earle had to get a new indictment against Tom DeLay. It seems that the original indictment, involving the 2002 election cycle, was based on a criminal law that did not become effective until some time in 2003.
So now, Earle has indicted DeLay for conspiracy to launder money. This looks like an act of desperation.
